Dinner Conversation Starters

As we continue social distancing to mitigate the spread of Covid-19, it can be come hard to think of things to talk about at dinner, because we are seeing the same people all day.  It is hard to talk about your day, when you can't do much.  You can't ask, "How about them Mets," because all sporting events and activities have been postponed or cancelled.  You may not want to talk about the news, because it is basically the same thing over and over. 

So, we have put together a list of conversation starters to use at dinner time to help turn the conversation away from social distancing to socially connecting with your family.  Our suggestion is to print this out and cut all of the conversation starters into individual strips.  Fold them up and put them in a bowl on the table or wherever you eat.  As you begin your meal have each person take one and go in order to ask your question.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?


If you could go back in time and meet anyone who would it be and why?


What is your favorite Bible story?


If you could only watch one movie over and over for the rest of your life, what would it be?


If your house was on fire (it's not) and you could only save three things (things...people and animals got out), what three things would you grab?


Why do you think God dislikes Sin so much?


Are cats or dogs better?  Why?


Why do you think it was so hard for Adam and Eve to resist the temptation of a simple piece of fruit?
